Yes,no,depends.

Superchargers have what is called 'parasitic drag'. This is just another example of something taking away power because force is needed to turn the supercharger, even when it is not applying boost. So, no, it burns gas when it is not being used (more than if the sc were not there). As far as adding anything else...depends if you are buying a kit or not. If you get a kit, it has to have some way to measurably deliver more fuel to the combustion chamber. Usually this is accomplished via 'bigger' injectors and sometimes a more powerful fuel pump. I'm guessing you mean mild to be ~6-8psi? You still need more fuel. You will also have to run higher octane fuel to keep detonation at bay.

upgrade fuel system and computer to keep up withthe supercharger and better octane to keep the detonation away, any time you put a charger on expect to eat gas.....dude you have a mustang gas gets eaten no matter where you are.....

Okay, time for a serious answer here. You will need to change your stock fuel pump to a minimum of a 155 or more likey a 190 depending on what amount of boost you'll be running. Also plan on a good igntion system as well. I've had luck with both MSD as well as Crane. Make sure it has the optional boost retard feature. Plan on upgrading to a blower system with a bypass valve as well. Your stock injectors will be just fine if you don't run more than 6lb of boost. An adjustable fuel pressure regulator wouldn't hurt either. Your stock heads and throttle body and maf will be alright with a 6lb unit too. Other than that, make sure the blower has the f.m.u. too. I added a little boost to old my 95GTS with the Cobra intake, GT-40Y heads, cam, exhaust, etc. Originally, I ran only 6lbs of boost with 24lb injectors, a 155lph intank fuel pump, 6:1 fmu, and a custom dyno-tune by Danny Swanson. The car never had a hiccup and ran like a champ, making 380rwhp/367rwtq. I later upped the boost with a larger crank pulley and powerpipe, added 30# injectors, a 255lph fuel pump, changed to a 4:1 fmu, and had it dyno-tuned once again. I never drove the car hard after making any boost/fuel changes without tuning it first. Again, the car ran awesome with these basic upgrades. The air-fuel was safe and I never ran into any problems until I got greedy with the boost. Keep it at 6-8psi with the mods ss93cobra said and you should be good to go.

For a better Cobra example, I know two guys who ran a mild amount of boost on a well tuned engine for many miles. One of them ran 6lbs of boost on his 94 Cobra without issue for over 50,000 miles. The other guy was a member of a mustang club I used to belong to. He was approaching 147,000 miles apparently around 100,000 of those with boost. He never went more than 8psi and as his engine increased in miles, he usually had his car detuned a bit.
