Back to thinking about a supercharger. I'm looking for an entry level kit but I want to be able to upgrade down the line. Either going vortech v-1 or paxton 1000. I know they are now the same company and there are only small differences such as the thicker bracket, etc. What would it take to increase the psi on these kits to above 5-6? Also, I have heard video clips of the v-1 and have read about the v-1 one being loud. I want to hear the supercharger.... How does the novi 1k compare in sound with the v-1? Lastly, im planning on building either a 306 or 331 this winter, do you think it would be better for me to save up the money for a novi 2000 kit, or stick to an entry level kit? I'm sticking with a stock block so with h/c/i im thinking the novi 2k would be pushing it. Plus the novi 1k and v-1 kits are under 2k :). Opinions wanted.............

I am running the Vortech V1-SC trim in my car it's extremely loud check the link out it's not my car I just did a little search on youtube, Now the V1 is a good Entry level blower that carrys a 3yr warranty(which may be void if you up the boost levels) Whether or not saving your money for a bigger blower all depends on what your plans are for the car. Good luck with your decision

Talking from experience, if you want a nice cheap blower with a warranty and pretty damn good response, get the SC-trim and buy an 8" Crank pulley. My car would go straight to 4-5psi then build up to 10-10.5lbs at 5400 or so. I also had the UPR powerpipe, another nice piece for the money.
