I have an 01 cobra that I am thinking about adding a supercharger. I have a cold air intake, underdrive pulleys, headers and full Bassani exhaust. It is lowered with springs and shocks and has 03 rims and tires all the way around. I do not like the lack of low end pickup. Will a stock 03 roots type supercharger fit under the hood or do I need to use a vortec type centrifical one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is my first post.

Welcome to :SNSign:

In order to make the 03-04 Eaton M112 work, you need the entire setup. Unless you're lucky enough to find a wrecked donor car to grab all of the parts you'll need, running a Kenne Bell (expensive), or a centrifugal will be about your only options that I'm aware of.

You should check out svtperformance.com. There is alot of info from people that do this to their cobras. Stangnet is a great forum but I think it is a little lacking in the svt department. No offense fellas.

Your best bet is to use a Vortec. You get everything you need in a kit, and you won't have to hunt down anything. They make good power. My 96 made 414RWHP 8lbs of boost. Your car is 15 more HP stock, so you should make at least 430RWHP with a good tune, not an aggresive tune. Don't let your tuner say, I can make 450RWHP....he is just leaning it out, and you will lose those pistons.

Your U/D pullies will have to come off with a supercharger.

i have the vortex v2 on my 01 cobra and although the low end doesn't change muchm after 2500 rpm is goes crazy.... 476 rwhp awsome.
my biggest beef is the oil breather drips oil after punching it. I'm looking at a alternative return now and will advise once i figure it out.
