I bought the Superchip Microtuner a little while ago and have used it to tune my shift points, shift pressure, gears, and octane gas. I was wondering if by changing it from 87 to 93 octane advanced my timing at all?

I'd imagine that's exactly what it did.

The reason I ask is because Im thinking about a NOS dry kit and they recomend not advancing the timing because it could cause detonation. They also recomend using 92+ octane, but our stock chips are programed for 87. What should I do?

If you spray program it back to stock , then run 93 only while jugging. If you arent spraying its ok to run the timing up but always keep 93 in it .

So even though I program the superchip for 87 I can still put 93 in with no problems?

yea it will be fine , just get in the habit , you dont wanna forget one time and pull up and chunk 87 in it if you got a full bottle and plan on using it , or have the timing up and forget and fill up with 87 . You wont notice any difference unless you put 87 in and spray or set the timing up .
