I have a 89 GT 5.0 with 115,000 miles, I am installing underdrive pulleys right now, I was wondering if it is worth it to get a chip for my stang with that many miles on it.
Any inputs would be good.
Thanks
don't buy one. i had one for four years and it screwed my computer up. made the car run like crap. worked good at first but after a few years started causing all kinds of problems.
I got a custom burned chip a little while ago, didn't notice much difference and then after about 2 weeks my computer burned out! Total waste of about $400!!
From what I've heard, chips are pretty much worthless until you get forced induction.. til then, put the money torwards something else, plenty of things to upgrade = )
yeah chips are pretty much useless until you need one with lets say a heavly moddied stang or like stated forced induction. Also afpr are pretty ueless to the ome mechainc unless you can get time on a dyno and use wideband o2's to tune your cars fuel pressure for optimun power. timing is best set anywhere around 10-16degrees btdc.
