I've considered a chip tuner every time a new one comes out, but for the money and the fact that a Mustang shop has years and several "safe" tunes under their belts...

It also removed the rev limiter and changed the fan setting to turn on at a lower temperature. I did notice a slight difference in performance but probably nothing more that 10-15 rwhp. Also, as mentioned you can change back to stock settings if you have to take your vehicle in for any warranty work.

Wrong! The J3 port is on the ECM itself and has a protective coating that requires removal before you can install a chip. The SCT & Predator tuners work their magic via the ODB-II port under the dash. Plug-N-play brother and no scrapin' required!

P.S. Vic.... What part of my previous post was incorrect? Maybe YOU have the ability to talk to an ECM while it is out of the vehicle because you have access to the "proprietary stuff"...but us average garage tuners are unable to talk to the ECM once it has been removed from the car!
