I recently bought my very first mustang, an 07' v6 and was looking for an exhaust system at a low price...being in college with a low budget I found my best bet was to go with a conversion kit with the gt take off mufflers. I just put them on this afternoon and I couldn't be happier with the results. It's not a loud exhaust but sounds strong, not v8 strong of course, but strong. Also to my surprise I could actually tell a difference in hp gain. It pulls alot better than I ever thought a gt take off set up would. From what I had heard there was no difference in hp at all with that set up, but I could actually feel a nice gain. I'm sure its not what the high end systems put out as far as hp, but for what I paid it was a great deal....just thought I would let any other low budget enthusiast know.:SNSign:

Well I just bought an intake, it was just a generic intake off ebay motors.....my brother had an 03' v6 and bought this same intake and I watched him install it and he liked the results. thats where i got my love for mustangs, I was 15 with an older brother running a black v6 mustang with true duals, intake, performance chip, limited slip diff, short shifter, gears, and a tank of nitrous express with a purge, dropped an inch and a half on 18 inch chrome cobra wheels that ran a 13.6 quarter mile...it was my first love.

as far as my next "major" upgrade....I haven't decided, any suggestions

I would get gears and a SCT tuner, 4.10's to get the most out of your sixer.
