I have an 88 Gt and I want to redo the entire suspension! My goal for the car is to have a good mix of street and track, im all about taking corners. My issue is I dont know where to start? Any ideas with getting the best names in suspension or suspension packages would be great. Thanks!

I am a big fan of Maximum Motorsports, they have a lot of good packages to get you started. A good start would be Shocks (Koni or Bilstein), Springs, Tires and Sway Bars - i would also suggest you upgrade your brakes. Good luck!

Are you considering "real" coilovers or the slip-ons?
When going coilover, I suggest a good quality full threaded, monotube, dbl adjustable, gas shock. There are many reasons for using this style over others. The biggies for me are;
1. easier to dial in ride height/spring psi
2. control damping AND rebound
3. normally a lighter setup, and you can add the weight to the sprung weight or unsprung... depending on your preference.

I have no experience with the slip-on style coilovers.

You might want to consider a watts link or panhard bar to keep the rearend straight.

I agree with Wallzy... I don't use MM, but my first impression and those of others, they are good quality pieces and work well as a setup or combo.

a good build w/o going coilovers. Ford racing lower control arms(better lower ball joints and new bushings), bilstien shocks, 2001 Bullitt springs, maximum ms SFC's, maximum ms caster/camber plates, maximum ms lower control arms, ford racing rear upper arms and new diff bushings will tighten things up and improve handling. Some other items, maximum pan hard bar, strut tower brace and k-brace.

like everyone else said, maximum motorsports is an exellent way to go, i run alot of their suspension pieces and im very happy with them. brakes are next on my list, carving corners is hard to do if you cant slow down. also you might wanna check out griggs racing, they also offer great suspension packages
