Suspension issue ??

..I had steeda sport springs, Tokico adjustables and steeda HD strut mounts installed in my '08 Bullitt.

The install was done by a "Mustang Guru" who used to work for Penske, in fact he built the Mustang AX cars that were used for a Marlboro promo years ago.

He did not use any parts from the stock strut, and the photo shows how spring sits on the steeda mounts.....it just doesn't look right to me although I've driven the car several hundred miles and 2 autocrosses w/o issues.

Should the rubber spring mount from the stock strut have been used??

You can see how the pigtail of the spring just sits on the steeda mount.

What say you guys.

I have J&M strut mounts and they said to use the stock rubber piece. In fact it seems they were made to use them as the stock piece is a nice tight slip fit.

By not using the rubber mounts he probably got 1/2 to 3/4" lower than if he did use them, but I would imagine with more NVH. Have you noticed more NVH?
