Suspension Kits

Does anyone have a Ford Racing suspension kit on there car here??? After I sell my bike this spring I was going to buy one so I can take the curvy roads a little faster that and it's like $450 for a kit.

im gettin that kit in the fall. it only lowers the car an inch, and i kinda want to go lower. but my main priority is to get the stock 125k crap out of there

my buddy has it on his 95. after driving my car at an autocross (I've got 1.5" H&R's, max. motorsports adjustable c/c plates, pro3i lower control arms, and shocks/struts from an 03 mach 1), he said mine is a lot tighter and handles better (even with the stock swaybars and 30k mile shocks/struts).

Save your $$ and get something a little better. IMO There are other spring/shock combos that are better for maybe 100$ more or so. (Tokico being one that I've seen good results with)

Yah but they aren't adjustable. The 5 ways are pretty nice to have IMO. Set the front real soft for drag racing, stiff all around for turns, and softer for daily driving. The spring rates are probably better then the bullit/mach1 kit If I had to guess too. Just my 2cents.....

yeah, after the mach 1's wear out, im going with tokico adjustables. go for the h&r's, you'll love em.

if your going to get serious about corner carving i would save up more and go with a kit from maximum motorsports or even griggs.

the ford stuff is good but theres much better out there

It all really depends on how much I have in my bank account and how much I'm willing to spend, I'll shop around and see if I can find something a little better. But I really don't want to pay $1000 for suspension.

I borrowed an 03 Mach1 for five months and that is the same suspension that's in the kit. I don't think that the handling would be a whole lot different in a 94/95. I loved the Mach1's motor and exhaust note, however, it was not nearly as good as my current setup. I have much less body roll, brake dive, and a ton more confidence.

If I had only driven the Mach1 a couple times, sure I might just be nervous about the car. However, I had it for five months, so I was very comfortable with it. Almost bought it too, but realized that I'm am merely one good built motor away from having something better (and mine's paid for).

All that to say.........you can spend just a little more and go with a more agressive suspension that is still comfortable and not too low. Get just springs and shocks/struts, then do the sway bars a few months later. Maybe do the arms in the rear a few months later. Subframes are an absolute must. MM has a K-member brace that is nice, too.
