I'm looking at redoing the suspension for the winter beings a few of the bushings are squeaking now and it still has the factory shocks/struts with 82k on them. So far this is kind of what I've decided on and looking for some input. I'm doing this kind of on a budget. I'm looking to go about 1"-1.5" max for lowering. This is also on a 97GT.

Energy Suspenion Front/Rear isolator cushions and front control arm bushings.
Bullitt Suspenion kit if I can find for a resonable price.

Rear UCA/LCA:
Either BBK's for $275
Pro 3's
Steeda

Steeda Balljoints and HD Sway Links.

I'm looking to spend probably about $1000 total for everything. C/C plates may be needed also and I'd like to get a 4 bolt plate. The Eibach Pro kit looks good also but then I have no shocks/struts and need something to hold up to the drop. Any suggestions on some different combo's without going all out. The car is pretty much a Daily driver and would like to be able to handle very well vs all out drag.

First thing you have to ask is what do you want out of your car, suspension wise? Second is don't go cheap, you get what you pay for.

I'm looking for more handling then anything right now. I've never taken it to the track but would still go sometime when I get a chance. I'd rather have it handle nice around town and in the corners. I know you get what you pay for. I'm just trying to figure out the best way without going to a coil over setup.

I know a set of Full Lenth SFC would be a big improvement. I'd like either the bullitt suspension or the Eibach springs but I'm unsure if 1.5" would be too low for where I live. What drop does a saleen have stock? I've read good things about Eibach pro kit and it seems like people are satisfied with them. What's the advantages of the Bullitts sway bars vs Stock?

I can get KYB AGX struts for about $113 each and shocks for about I think $78 each. KYB any good? How about Pro 3, Steeda, BBK rear controls arms upper and lower? Any advantages of one over the other? Steeda Balljoints for it being lowered and what about polyurethane bushings what brand would work beings Energy Suspension I guess is not that great?

Well i live in a terrible location for roads and use a 2in drop setup, you're going to have to up the price on what you want to pay for good setup. Springs are always arguable, most of the starts kits all run close to rates, although eibach have been known (few) to sag

Definately get MM's 4 bolt C/C plates. You don't need a front swaybar, just upgrade the bushings for the stock one and add new MM end links, go for a Solid rear swaybar (cobra replica)

I've used KYB's before but not the adjustalbes, for what it's worth the KYB's were a great cheap alternative and they held up pretty well

Pro3i has nice LCA's (3 piece bushing kit) and for a great price, I wouldn't touch BBK though, and FRPP or steeda have good UCA replacements, If you can try to squeeze in a MM Panhard Bar/Rod in your list, you'll love how the rear does sway around afterwards
