Struts will *not* effect ride height, and in
real-life do
not prevent the car from bottoming out.
Basically, you've been screwed by believing the BS that many people post. Sportlines are way too low for a Stang.
They are for looks only.
Hey, I can BS you and tell you tell you that if you set your TPS to 0.98v, you'll get 1,000HP and 5zillion MPG. But, *I* tell people the truth. And, the fact is that the truth often hurts and
most people do
not want to hear the truth. That's their choice.
If you don't want your car to bottom out or sit too low, get the Mach1 or Bullitt springs. But, then again, what does
Ford and some of the
best chassis engineers in the world know?
Yup, makes complete sense to put your trust in a company that's goal is to sell you
anything, and people with zero knowledge of chassis design or Engineering. Hmm, or does it?
If you want to lower your car more than 1", then
that's fine. That's
your choice! Just realize that your handling will be worse, your suspension geometry will be screwed up, the car will be too low for real-life ramps & potholes, and you will have a
small percentage of the jounce force (force before the car bottom out) compared to stock.
I live with a very rough and very stiff suspension because I want a better handling Stang. Those are the
real-life trade-offs that I made, I accept, and I live with. If you want a lowered car, you'll also have to make
real-life trade-offs. Most people think my ride is too harsh already. But, I'm likely going even firmer next year. Like I said, it's
your choice depending on
your desires.
I just tell people the
truth.
If you want, you can raise your font fender height by ~0.4" by using the Steeda spring spacers.

Poly isolators raise the fender height by ~0.1". So, together, you can raise the fender height by
roughly 1/2". Or, use just one of those options.
Otherwise, it's time to junk the springs. You can always sell them in the classifieds.
Last:
Make sure that you installed the end of the spring correctly! The spring tail should be
between the two holes in the FCA.

Good Luck!
