Ok so picked these up when I got my intake from a guy. Are these the SVE rear lower and upper control arms? No markings on them, but They looked decent, welds looked nice, and overall dirty but good shape. The bushings are trash but if they are SVE then replacements are like 25 bucks. Are these worth fixing up or should I pick up these UPRs I saw on a local listing? Black ones are the unknowns maybe SVE and greys ones are the UPRs that I can pick up for a 100 bucks probably, guy is asking 150 for them though.

The black ones are made from mild steel. The top ones are made out of Chrome moly. I'd tend to believe that the top ones are UPR because of that.

I find it suspect that the bushings are worn out on a set of aftermarket arms. How many miless did those black arms have on them for the bushings to fail?
Im thinkin Chinee.....
Consider how many years, and how many miles a stock arm goes before that happens...

Ok so I don’t know much about them or how long they were on etc. I went to a guys house who had a barn of stangs, bought my GT40 tubular then a bunch of other crap it turns out I didn’t need and probably won’t use, like a c&l 76mm mass air, 24lb inj. I should’ve bought the 70mm TB but passed. I saw control arms and was like 30 bucks sure and I’ll replace those bushings. Yes, the top pic grey ones are UPRs that from what I saw go for 250, guy had them on his 93 Cobra and said he is reverting back to stock. They look clean and bushings look good as well.

The little nipple thingys that stick out on the end where the bushings are, you can drill and tap the ends for fittings if they are not there, better control arms have them. UPR is the better of the two pictured (top)

Here is a picture of a popular grease zerk. It is cut in half so you can see how they work. The ball seals the end hole from letting in dust or splashed waster in, but let's you squeeze pressurized grease into suspension parts.

If I had to pick between the two, I’d sell the sve set and go upr, even if that means adding fittings.

i wouldnt put either set on my car. LCA's with poly bushings on both sides tend to bind and squeak. The bottoms look like the cheap Summit ones that tear through bushings quickly.. IMO, I would sell them both and get a set of MM rear LCA's.

Thanks man, I read on lmr that the UPR if supposedly greased right do not need bushing replacements. Is this bs or factual? The guy won’t budge from 150 either.
