Roush SVT Focus Fuel Pump Or Boost A Pump?

Hey guys im trying to decide weather or not to get teh Focus pump or the Kenne Bell BAP. The Boost a pump seems alot more easier to install, and also seems to flow better than the SVT Pump. Any suggestions?

I went with SVT pump, was cheaper and my pockets are shallow, the BAP seems way overpriced for a gizmo that ups your amperage to the stock fuel pump. In a wekk or so I am running a dyno so I can tell you better if the SVT is up to snuff...

Did u install the Pump yourself? If so was it Hard? And how much is the BAP?

I have the Focus pump, been a year and a half, no problems yet. You have to remove the rear bumper to get to the tank since it covers it. Just make sure you do it on near empty.

Boost a Pump = $250.00 SVT = Pump $115.00 Labor did it myself. just do it on empty tank. less hassle, also got any buddies with a lift? and a tranny jack? That really helps alot.

Is the removal of the old pump/ install of the new relitavely easy? And taking off the rear bumper sounds like no fun at all....thats why i think the BAP would be easier/ less hassle. Money isnt really an issue. Just reliabilty

Has anything changed about the BAP? I thought those things used to burn up stock returnless GT pumps by over driving them.

I just installed a focus fuel pump in my 2000 GT yesterday. The following link should help you out a bunch:

It took my father and I about 2 hrs to install it. Would be a 15 min job if the tank would drop down further without a disconnect of the fuel lines. Anyways, thing in there are very dirty, so have a compressor ready to air things out once you drop the tank down...

definately do the focus pump i put them in all the saleen's i tune. In a way safe tune and without adding timing im getting 380 to the wheels with 11.5 af ratio. Use as many ford parts as you can they work the best . [email protected]

Ok i got the pump now i have a question. Do i install just the item pictured below, into the stock tank? Or do i install the whole new assembly (wires etc)?

We installed the pump only on mine. Removed it from the bucket and swapped it out.

That is it. If you are in your tank, check it out with a flashlight just to make sure you don't have any silt buildup in the bottom. It's a great time to do that and it does not take long for some buildup. Just swap out the pump you have taken the picture of there. It will plug in directly. Just pay attention to your connections and most importantly, take care not to pichh any of the fuel line when bolting your tank back up with the straps.

Yes,

There is no harm installing the pump only. You will just be one step ahead when you do your other mods. Sometimes I take a little video when I'm inside a part of a car I have not been before. Well, at least when I'm into something I have been into on another car but it's always a little different. I could take apart a gen one Camaro down to the frame and put it back together but not an entire mustang. Leave that for Scott!
Funny you and giddyup talking about your neighborhood. My wife grew up in Clyde Hill so I'm familiar with all the places mentioned. All of my family is from Wenatchee,Yakima and Chelan, but well both know those areas don't count since they are "fake" Wash.
