But let's see if I can point you in the correct direction. I'm going to assume that you have a V6 Mustang and you are wishing to swap in a 4.6 from a Crown Vic. If so, then your question is really about a V6 to V8 swap which has been covered a TON. It would help if you did more homework before asking such a broad question.
But let me give you the TLDR; version. Swapping a V8 into a V6 application has a physical part and an electrical part. The physical part is what most people focus upon as it's just "wrenching" right? But consider that the entire car's electrical system works as a system. That means:

the PCM
