Whew, done (almost) !!!!

So, the basic engine swap is complete. Spent plenty of time making sure all timings are close, oil pump is working and most things are tight and on the first crank it fired right up. Granted, it is idling at about 2k rpm, but that'll get fixed tomorrow.

Here's whats done...

Rebuilt short block, rebuilt heads from the 87 with the roller cam from the 93. Rebuilt suspension, new brakes, new interior, new top and a thousand more things, including the tranny cross-member. Coming up next is paint job.

Total $$$ invested so far, including car...about $2,100. Total work, about 30 man days. Total sweat- 16 gallons (hey, I'm in Florida, it's hot!!!)

To all here, thanks for the help and comments, couldn't have done it without you!!!

So the little 87 vert will soon be back on the road!

Just finished an 87 notch aswell. Ok its my brothers car but i had me hands on this car as well. The only problem we have is the check engine light blinks. Fuel is fine, boost like a mofo and timing is fine. Going to give it a tune up and see. As of now with drag suspension,3:73s,3" exhaust skinny and fats it hauls ass.
