I'm thinking about making some small changes to my combo. I am looking for some more upper rpm hp and for my combo to peak a bit higher. It peaks about 5300-5400 now. Im looking to swap in a track heat upper w/ a 75mm TB (tfs opening is 75mm so I dont see this as a problem) I know a lot of the internet myth believing people are gonna say thats 'way too big' and that my 65mm is fine but I dont believe that. Anyway, what do you guys think of swapping my street hea/65mm TB for a track heat/75mmTB? I am starting to think that the street heat with 65mm TB and 3/8" spacer is a restriction on my combo. Car weighs low 3200 with me in it.

No, I haven't spoke with Ed. I emailed him a few days ago and haven't got a response yet. I'm kinda just thinking about some small changes and I figured i'd make a post. Car is making some very good low end tq, much better than the old tfs 1 cam/shorty headers I ran, so I can afford to lose some. I compared my new graph to my old tfs/shorty header graph and at 2,800rpm I have about 30 more ft/lbs of tq more.

Another thing I thought of, was that since fixing the lean condition, the #'s didn't improve much either. Is it possible that since it was just a 4th gear pull on a dynojet that the lean problem wasn't hurting the car all that much since it wasn't fully loaded like a 1/4 mile pass at the track?? I mean, my a/f was 18:1, 16:1 in some spots and now its a low-mid 13 across, I woulda thought i'd see some power from this. Any thoughts?

With you combo, I don't think the track heat would hurt you anywhere. On a stock engine engine, maby because the the street heat is so big anyways. I would do it, I think you'll really pick up.

Thanks for the positive comment. Anyone have any thought on this: 'Another thing I thought of, was that since fixing the lean condition, the #'s didn't improve much either.
