Bigger isn't alway's better proved itself once again today. I've been running a 850 Mighty Demon for a couple months now on my 408 which was working just fine, and decided to try a new 750 Mighty Demon on her today. Now I have no actual number's to back me up but overall power and response has definetly improved to the point were it is actually noticable in the driver's seat! (No, it's not in my head) Even at high RPM. Obviously Demon carb's are a little underrated as they are wet flow tested so technically the 750 Demon probably would compare to an 850 Holley HP Carb. I called Barry Grant and told them my combo and the tech said he's not a bit surprised. He said he would have went with a 750 from the start. Quote: "You cant compare our carb's to Holley's" he said. Overall I'm sticking with the 750 for now until I get to the dyno were I will try both carb's and see what kind of actual number's I get.
Just Thought I'd share so maybe the guy's who want to put a 1500CFM Dominator
on there mild 302 would think twice, if you know what I'm saying.
