i'm thinking bout picking up a gt with a damaged front bumper.

I'm wondering how to change the bumper myself. i tried search and the how too sticky but nothing specific pops up right away.

anyone tell me how easy / hard this will be?

amount of time it will take. can i do it in my driveway in 1 day?

Snags that happen?

best way to do it?

how much would / should a shop charge?

its exactly the same as taking off the LX bumper. The onnly snag I see is if the fog light bar is fubar as it supports the bottom half of the bumper. If its messed up beyond repair you could fab up something temporarily I am sure.
All in all easily done in a couple of hours while taking your time.

let me know what you guys think worth it or not???

how much you think to repair. cost and time if i did it myself. not to skilled mind you.
salvage title.

well let me know what you guys think. its a 92. comes with a FRPP cobra intake, C&L true flow elbow, optima battery, koni red struts/shocks, FRPP caster/camber plates, UPR shifter. Stock rims and tires, Interior is black.

looks like just the top part of the front (hood/head light) area smack into a truck or something. Doesnt look like its that bad IMO but of course I dont know how it drives.

How much are they asking for it?

does it start up?

it really depends on what you're goin to pay for it. worst case scenario it spends a little time on the frame machine, which is not the end of the world. if you pick it up cheap its definitely worth doing

It would have to be CHEAP, if say the bay is probably tweaked. How does the roof look? Does it have any wave to it? Do the doors and hatch open and close without any problems?

If its really cheap and the body ect. is really messed up farther then we can see.

buy it and sell it for parts or buy that and a roller and turn it into a project

previous owner said it was 3rd inline in an accident. got hit from behind also but he doesn't know what the damage was since the car was towed from the scene and hasn't seen it since.

if you looks closely the radiator is pushed back and that arm that connects to the head pan looks to be off. he also said the radiator is touching the fan blade and the hose is kinked. you can see in the picture it is not in the correct angle.

would it be as easy as replacing the head pan or will it need a frame machine? man i dunno. i guess i have to see the car.

these are the only pictures i got access too. its bid is at $225 as of today. i'll definately see the car before i bid on it.
insurance claims repairs will cost $6,857

whats the most its worth bidding on as a salvage title? i'm thinking a SCCA / street car here.
