Sway bar bushings?

I have a 89 vert...the sway bar bushings are shot. I looked up the OEM bushings and they are discontinued from Ford. The listing says I have a 1 3/16 in. sway bar...I can't fined a listing anywhere for that size. Does anyone know what can be used in it's place?

Thanks

Check the diameter of the bar yourself - they varied. If you have a Vernier Caliper, that makes quick work of it. Otherwise, close a crescent wrench onto the bar and then use a straight-edge to measure the gap.

That'd have to be one big ol' honkin' Crescent wrench!

Might also try the same technique with a C-clamp, but if it has a swivel part on one end of the clamp you'll have to measure from the center point of that rather than the edge. Or maybe do the same with a small bench vise, or something along those lines. Basically anything that you can use as a ghetto measurement caliper - something fairly solid in construction that you can squeeze together to get you a Point A to B measurement of the outside diameter (NOT the circumference).
