Sway Bar Diameter, And Endlink Diameter

What is the diameter of a 1991 lx swaybar. and what is the diameter of the end links. Need to know what size cause, i'm buying on summit tonight.

You almost just have to measure yourself with a Vernier caliper. Ford seems to have mixed and matched dimensions depending upon what was available at the time.

Couldn't tell you about the end links, I just went to autozone for those. The swaybar bushings did vary but 1-5/16" worked for my 87 GT (but look further to see if the lx was the same if not smaller).

Shirley- The one off my 93 measures 1 3/8ths and the end link was 1/2 exactly. hope that helps.

The size will also depend upon trim (verts often have larger bars, etc). The last one I looked up was bushings for the 94 GT and there were 3 common sizes used for GT hardtops alone.

If you dont have a Vernier caliper, one can measure circumference or get diameter by closing a crescent wrench tight around the bar and then using a tape measure to note the distance across the crescent wrench. Crude, but it gives an idea.
