good thing I usually bring my digi cam w/ me b/c it paid off today. Myself and a few friends went to a performance shop to talk w/ a guy there whos got a stang b/c there putting in a Dyno Jet in the next few wks, just happend to have this sitting in the shop.

You americans have it bad. In Canada, you can import any car and register it no questions asked, provided it's 15 years old or older. No fees, just pay for the car , transportation, any customs fees that would be on any other vehicle, registration, insurance and you're set. Already we have a whole bunch of 1989-1990 Skyline R-32 GT-Rs running around, a guy with a 1990 300ZXTT 2-seater, a few Pulsars, etc... it's awesome. In 2009 I might order in an R33 GT-R, or a Porsche 959, RS200 EVO, Escort Cosworth, or something down those lines. The 15 year rule is awesome. Check out importconcern.ca and see what's already in Canada. Skylines go for as little as $8000 for GT-Rs. Imagine that.

I know, but I think that something that fast and expensive should at least seem more exotic, skylines just don't do anything for me exteriorally. Gimme a 512 Testarossa over a skyline anyday. Italians know how to build cars

when i was in the air force a buddy of mine brought one back from when he was stationed in okinawa. i rode in it several times, and while the panty removal factor is high i thought it was pretty lame on performance. it was a 95 so maybe they just got 300% better, but another friend that had an 86 5.0 with h/c/i would smoke him. if your in the military you can bring it back for two years then you have to get it registered, motorex was charging 35k at the time, so he sold it to a kid for 10k and the kid got a salvage title 240, took the vin and slapped it on the skyline and registered it as a 240.

well importing stuff sucks in the US i have friends with honda motors still sitting in shipping yards cause they wont clear customs. That is a lot of money sitting in a box that you can't get to. As far as skylines and such they have to apply for a VIN (vehicle identification number) most wont get them depending on the state and its sad cause those are some sweet cars. I'd take an R32,R33,or R34 any day of the week.
