i recently did a efi to carb swap and got everything together and here is the problem im having..
the car idles find and revs great when not moving, so tonight it decided to take it for a ride, well as soon as i start going, the car starts bucking and it feels like its either not getting enough gas or maybe too much,, i looked at the carb when it was idling and the gas flow to the rear of the carb is cool but it looks like its dumping alot more into the front?? is that a problem or maybe timing??
everything is new, the fuel pressure is set at 6 pounds
im sure someone in here has had this problem , just getting way to anxious to get my stang on the road after it got stolen a while ago and this big project
just gotta get it running right so i can paint it :bang:
any help would be appreciated
thanks

someone else told me that too
is there any adjustments should make to the carb??
or just time it??
do you have to have the vaccum line off the distributor when you time it?
im talking about the line that goes from the distributor to the fpr?
thanks

a line goes from the FPR to the dizzy?
on most carbed vehicles, you pull the vac line on the dizzy, so you can check static timing (no vac advance).

your float level adjustment could be messed up. carb stuff is one thing where you really have to be there - hard to diagnose from a keyboard, IMHO.

If you understand efi and how the computer works, codes will be very helpful, even though I am a firm believer in starting with the basics. Check coil voltage and plugwires resistance. Also it sounds like a dual bowl carb, you problably have the floats set up wrong. Good luck, why did you get rid of efi?? I'd only go carb if it was a 4 banger swap. That's just me though.
