Switching to synthetic?

I want to do a complete fluid change in my car , oil , tranny fluid , rear end , ect. My question is that because my car has always run regular oil ,i was told it would be bad for me to switch to a synthetic such as royal purple. Can someone clear this up?

the only concievable differences would be the 1. the price 2. if you switch your motor oil to synthetic you might expose some leaks 3. if you change your tranny fluid to synthetic you might hear some more gear whine... none of these things outway the positives so i say do it.

Good point, the only thing it will do is let you know of any leaks you have. So make sure you check for them every once and a while and may have to replace a few gaskets but no real big deal.

Yeah if their is even a teeny leak the synthetic oil will definately find it!
