Here is a newbie question. Is it easy to mess up the aiming on the headlights when I'm changing bulbs? I've never done anything like this before and I need to make sure.

Nope, as mentioned earlier, it's not possible to mess with the alignment/aim if you are just changing bulbs. You'll be fine. :)

im almost positive ill have to find the box. the receit says 9007ST/UPP Silver ST 39.98 P. and then it says SilStarLam 2/34.99 because i got them on sale. ill look for my box and later take pics of the lights. i think jonjon said once that during the day they look yellow and get white at night--i tried at like 1AM so it was plenty dark about but still yellow

I've had the headlights and the fogs since I bought the car 6 months ago. I put them in. No bulbs blown out yet. The only thing is that in certain lighting the low beam seems brighter than high beams.

Fog#893 (37.5w) even though #880 will work (27w)

I bought the 9007 Silverstars at Pep Boys - "on sale" for $19.99 each. I ordered Sylvania Silverstar 893 fog lights on eBay for $24 for the pair. The manual says 880, but I have heard 893s will work better. Did they snap right in? Also, did you replace your fog-light lenses? Do you have pics at night?

Thank you. Cheers...!

I might get **** for this, but I kindda like the yellow tint...reminds me of the old muscle cars. But the stock bulbs do suck. Are they just pure white or are they a blue tint...bc i refuse to put blue tinted headlights on my car

The manual says 880 but when I pulled out the OEM bulbs they were 893's. Of course I bought the 880's, but they went right in. The '93's are just brighter I guess. but mine are still bright white when you look at them. I haven't replaced the lenses yet, but it's in the works and yes they snapped right in with no problems....

Poop boys eh? I may have to go check them out tomorrow. I need new lenses too, mine have gone to **** :( Maybe ford will waranty them :D

I've got all Silverstars... headlights (9007), turn signals (3157), and foglights (880). I also got new headlights without the orange reflector and the crystal clear foglights. In the head on pic, I've only put a single crystal clear fog in so you can see the difference. You can also see the iridescence from the turn signals. In the second pic, you can see how much brighter the crystal clear foglight is (both of them are using the 880 silverstars). Even with the lower wattage, the 880's are still a good bit brighter than stock, especially with the new foglight housings. I sat mine next to my brother-in-laws 01 GT with stock housings/bulbs and you could definitely see the fogs better. 893's would obviously be better, but I didn't feel like waiting.

Heres a few pics finally...

i just bought some ricer superwhites (the box is written in chinese) but they look really nice on the car. the store where i bought them had a display of like 5 different types of headlights that were turned on so you can see how each looks. these looked the best by far!!

The only thing I worry about is frying my wiring harness... Has anyone else used 893's? I will have to see what bulb is in my foglights from the factory...

Yep... 9007 Thats what I just got for my 2001. I put them in and sure there is a difference but nothing that really stands out in my opinion. I'll probably take some pictures when its dark out to see how they compare.
