Ok my second gear synchronizer is bad, now i have one question. Is it possible to change it myself? and what do i have to do to change the synchronizer? If not then around how much should it be to have it replaced?

BTW its a T-5 Tranny so you guys know. The stock tranny in the 94 V6 mustang.

Yeah you can change it yourself if you want to pull the tranny, and rebuild it.

That is what you will need to do. The kit itself is not that expensive. It would be labor intensive and may just as well pay someone to do it.

How long has it been out?

I ran for one in my old Stang 2.3l for nearly 2 years. I just skipped second all together and just ran the RPM up a little more than normal.

You can try that to extend the life a little bit, but it will need to be replaced eventually.

its been like almost a year. The problem isnt that it doesnt go into 2nd the problem is that if im beating on the car and i shift quick it wont go in it will just grind, ill let the rpms go down a sec then shift and it goes in just fine, Plus if im driving normal then it goes into 2nd just fine.

Okay so dont beat it and drive normal?

I would not be slamming it or taking the car to the track right now.

It is broken dude, if you continue to do that you are going to break your countershaft and then the car will not move?
