t-10 4 speed

what can you tell me about the t-10 ford speed, i know it was in use from 60-65 in fords, im getting one for free, i was wondering if i should replace the stock 3 speed in my 69 grande with it or sell it and buy a 4 speed top loader, but i really know nothing about the t-10, thanks for any info you can give,

The T-10 is a Borg Warner transmission built for Ford. It's a good transmission, but not as strong as the Toploader 4 speed. If you're running a small block you'll do fine with the T-10. Better check the dimensions before doing the swap though, I think the T-10 used a 25 spline output. Not sure about the mount and cross member differences ( if any) Input should be the same as the 3 speed ( 1 1/16--10 spline) Also check to make sure the input length is the same as your 3 speed.
