T-45 re-build

i have a 99gt 5-speed and over the past 4 months the noise's from my trans have been getting louder. This past weekend i was shifting from 2-3(i was accelerating fast) and when i pushed it into 3rd it was like i got denied. and now my trans makes even more noise's. I figure i need a re-build, if so, what kit should i buy? do i need a performance shop to install it? or can any maintence shop do it? i do have a pro 5.0 shifter, if that makes a difference on the diagnossis. thanks a lot!

check you shift stops..make sure they are not touching the shifter when in gear...

you guys could have broken bearings and seals in your tranny. I just pulled out my tranny and replaced the front cover bearing that was bent and was clapping with my transmission also a seal that was broken. About $60 bucks for the parts from ford and the noise went away.
