Im replacing my driveshaft since I have a vibration above 110km/h whether the clutch is engaged or not. While Im at it I was going to replace the t5 tail seal since it seems to have a slow leak.

Just curious as to how the seal comes out, I was giving it a go earlier but I was too much of a wimp to finish the job because I was damaging the seal but not really moving it. Do you just pry it out and slide on the new on or am I going to need special tools?

Thanks.

Make sure the tailhousing bushing isn't the cause of your vibration. Wiggle the driveshaft yoke around and see if there is any play. Sometimes these wear out and cause a slight wiggle which then causes the seal to leak.

I've never replaced the bushing myself, but I do know the tailhousing has to come off in order to do it. I just let a shop do it in the past instead of messing with it.
