My local pick and pull is having a half off sale Saturday. I plan on getting a 4 cylinder T5. I want to put it into my 5.0 so I can drive it while I rebuild my V8 T5. I figure that I can then sell the other T5 when I swap the original one back in.

I know I would need the special pilot bearing to do this. Can I use the bell housing from the 4 cylander T5? Is their anything else that needs to be done to do this?

Also, if anyone needs the parts (clutch pedal, linkages, etc.) to convert their auto to t-5 I can pull these parts when I get my tranny and send them to you if you want.

no you can't use the bellhousing from the 2.3....just unbolt the bell from the 2.3 T5 and bolt on your 5.0 bell. everything else is the same except for the input shaft but you already know that. hope that helps

There have been two good threads today about this. Take a look for them perhaps. TheBozSez has found some info about his, for instance.

Good luck.
