t-5 snap ring

does anyone know where i could just find the snap ring for 5th gear? i tried re-using the old one and it fell off driving down the road, then i put one on from another lower mileage transmission, worked great, then i had to take it off to do some repairs and tried using the snap ring again and then that one fell off goin down the road again....iv tried looking everywhere but i cant find a place that sells individual parts..any ideas?

Make sure you tell them it's the snap ring for 5th DRIVEN gear.
They sent me one for the drive gear and of course was wrong.
Make sure they know which one your talking about.
have them describe it to you.
Or for about $50 , it comes in the t-5 small parts kit usually available
from a local tranny shop. Plus you can replace a few other things too.
Needle bearings , that crappy brass thing for 5th gear , etc....

Ford might have one, but you'll need to specify a later model trans...maybe a 1996 or 1997 V6 T-5 trans.

If you ask for a Fox t-5 they will say it's discontinued. I beleive the snap ring for the newer V6 T-5's is the exact same part.
