t-5 tranny question

more a question on the flywheel...

the car has been sitting for a while, and i have surface rust on the flywheel...

will that be bad when i do finally start the car?

the cars been sitting for about a year, rust is pretty heavy

Probably oughta have it resurfaced.

it was resurfaced when it was put in there a year ago, has 0 miles...

it just sat... i just got the tranny put back on and bolted up today before i noticed.

I would hope it would come off due to friction the first couple of times the clutch engages.

if it's just surface rust, I wouldn't worry about it. that stuff happens to brakes as well all the time. No doubt anything will have minor surface rust from sitting for a year. so long as the flywheel isn't being eaten by rust you should be ok.
