I'm finally getting my 92 GT back after storing it for three years while I was in college. Anyway I can't shift into 1st,3rd,5th. I have a tri-ax and I rememeber putting Redline MTL in it at some point. Anyone have any suggestions as to what could be wrong?

Check the shifter stops. I don't see how they moved, but three years is a long time. And the tranny probably need to be run a bit to loosen the fluid.
And you could drain the tranny and put in new fluid to help.
I just noticed you said you put in Redline Manual Tranny Lube? At least that's what I'm thinking MTL stands for.
T-5's take ATF. Gear oil is too thick.

MTL is what many guys used before D4 became available and some folks in here run it (I considered it in my hot climate). It is a middle weight oil (MT90 is closer to a 90 weight, but even it is not near as viscous as dino gear lube).

In this case, I agree that a thinner fluid (some cheap stuff till you figure out what gives) is a better idea, but dont expect a slightly thinner fluid to fix it.

I like Proxses idea with the stops - that was my first thought too. I would make a notation of where it is now so you can figure out later if you were indeed too tight, but then back the stop all the way out (for now).

Good luck.

The tranny won't shift in 1,3,5 at all, while driving, or with the engine off. This problem occured a month before I put her away for storage. I was on the highway and I tried to upshift and I heard a small bang. Then I couldn't shift into any gear, I rolled off the highway. Then 2,4,R, for some reason worked.

shift fork would be 1-2, or 3-4 not working, 1/3/5 dont use same shift fork

True, but there is only 1 shift rail.

Sounds to me like something broke preventing the shift rail from sliding forward to engage 1/3/5.

Tough to say without opening the trans up. I can't see the guide plate under the shifter breaking, but pop the shifter off and have a peak. Otherwise you gotta pull the trans and remove the top cover and have a look. I bet you part of the shifter rail setup broke and jammed the rail from sliding forward.
