T-Bird supercharger on a 95 5.0. IS IT POSSIBLE??

Ok I have a 95 gts 5.0 and I have a cam, ported heads, TFS street intake manifold, CAI, 70mm TB, headers, full exhaust, 24LB injectors etc. I have a line on a used T-Bird supercoup supercharger and had heard in the past of people putting one of these in a 5.0. So if anyone has or knows if it is possible, it would be great to hear from you. Thanks .

I'm not aware of any sites that show it, but JimBowy who posts in 5.0 Tech/Talk has an Eaton M90 on his 87 LX. You'll need to make your own brackets and fab up some sort of intake ducting.

Yeah, it depends on how you want it set up. The tough way (but nicer) is to fab up a custom plate to adapt the blower to your lower intake. Most people remote mount it .... because it's easier to get pulley's to line up that way. And you can mount it in ANY orientation (upside down, sideways, etc.). Just keep in mind that you may need to get to the oil reservoir plug in the future.


BTW, when I say most people, I'm not necessarily referring to Stang owners. I've seen this blower put in many different types of vehicles.

Sure it can be done, but why? It could barely supply enough boost, even overdriven on my lightly modded Supercoupe much less a modded V8! Now maybe 2 of 'em...

It says its for up to 5.0L engines, It will work for low boost applications.

yeah, im currently working on putting one on my stang, building a custom upper intake for it to bolt up to, stay turned for the build up thread in a few weeks, I only wanna run around 6 psi for now.

why not step up to the 03/04 blowers? or even a L blower?

thanks for all of the posts and the only reason that i am thinking of it is that i have a line on one for very cheap. like $200 and i want more power for a lot less than $3-5000 cdn. but i am trying to find out if it is worth the time or not. thanks again for all of the posts and hope there are more.

the eaton m90 can be had very cheaply off ebay, the eaton m112 thats on the cobras is alot more expensive, im trying to do a budget supercharger build up.
