I say wait till CC is done with the turbo setups, I think he'll be dine soon, adn it's rumored to be comparable in price to the KB setup. Plus you get (from what I hear) top notch service from guys who KNOW.

I am torn between these two kits for my 02 GT. Kenne Bell's kit(intercooled) is pretty awesome, providing boost from 1500rpm to red line. The price is a little high though. The mongoose is suppose to be the s*** from what everybody says, plus it is already tuned for you. The only down fall on that is boost comes on only really when you hit the loud pedal hard. I need help! Any and all input and info is welcome. Thanks in advance.

I don't know...it's really a tough call. If it helps, I went with the KB intercolled kit, but that was prior to the release of Tim's tune for the KB. Either choice is gonna be OK!

I have started to talk to a guy that teaches automechanics at a local college and he had me run a test on my car to help identify the problem with my setup. He hasn't physically looked at it (yet), but he is VERY knowlegeable. He uses an engine dyno to tune engines before they even get put into the car. While this isn't as good as a chassis dyno (ultimately), he still understands the dynamics and it gets the engine VERY close before it starts for the first time. He is going to try to find me a chassis dyno so I don't have to travel over 6 hours to Kennedys. At least so I can get a baseline of my car before I do go. Obviously, I will communicate the values I get with KB so they can help me as well.

According to the test I ran recently as requested by this guy, I DO NOT have a vacuum leak or a sticking valve. This professor seems to think that the change that the chip has done to the PCM has upset the balance between the stock EGR values and the chip's new values that are non-EGR related. In other words, if the chip is having to change a value at a certain rpm in relationship to the values given by the sensors, then the table on the EGR side might need to be changed as well. Because the engine is NOT stock anymore, the values in the EGR table might need to be changed relative to the new devices on the engine. The EGR values were created relative to devices that no longer even exist in the engine. The high performance parts will react differently to changes in the EGR because they are (by design) made to react faster for higher performance. This makes sense to me because that is why a chip is needed in the first place. The stock tune needs to be changed for the new devices. It makes sense that the EGR side would have to be modified as well if the new parts make the engine respond quicker to changes in the system. I noticed this first-hand when I put the 90mm upgrade kit on (bigger MAF and plastic tube) along with a bigger TB. The problem became more pronounced. A small change in the trottle made a bigger difference than it did before the upgrade.

Yes Tim did do a tune on a GT with the KB blower. Made BIG power. I forget what the tread was called but I'm sure it was on Modular Mustang Forums.

T&J does awsome work. I would hold out a little longer and see what kind of numbers his turbo setup is putting down. If I hadn't already been running a Novi 2K prior to going there I think I would have held out for the turbo.

Anybody know if Tim has or will be coming out with a kit for the Mach1?
