Several months ago, the 1-2 shift fork broke. I took it to a ford dealer and they fixed it (along with a broken 5/R blocker ring). I had them replaced the 3-4 fork because it was apart. Of course, labor and the parts they replaced should be covered under warenty for 1 year, but I have the feeling they'll try to screw me, claiming there was abuse or it is an unrelaced issue to what they did.
Now, the transmission is acting badly. If I downshift to 3rd, it pops out of gear. Between gears, there is sometimes resistance where it is in neutral. It is also grinding in some situations where it wouldn't have before.
I'm beginning to think it is low on fluid. I found a few drops of fluid on the tailshaft housing.
Any ideas for what's wrong?
What should my course of action be? I payed WAY to much for the word ford did the first time. I don't want them to spend 5hrs (500$) openning the transmission just for them to tell me it's not covered by the warenty on their work.
