T5 And Burnouts

Will a T5 be damaged from burnouts? Was under the assumption it would only be damaged if it hooked but I could be wrong. Got a 331 stroker up front and worried about my stock trans.

There's always the potential.

But you are right, if the tires are spinning, there's less load on the trans than just going WOT when hooking. But clutch dumps aren't exactly gentle. Plenty of guys have sheared input shafts this way.
