T5 Bellhousing

Will a late model T5 bellhousing bolt up directly to a Tremec TKO500 or 600 or do you have to have an early bellhousing and adapter?

No. You'll either need the 79-83 (not sure of the last year) SROD bell (no spacer)or the earlier Toploader 3 & 4 speed bell and a 1" spacer (the Tremec and SROD input is longer than a Toploader)

Yea, but you need a 1" thick spacer to make room for the longer input shaft. The Tremec and SROD inputs are 1" longer than the Toploaders as are the T5 inputs.

Is the "spacer" the same as the adapter sold for a T5 install or is there a different spacer (i.e. cheaper...) for the TKO install. I do have the original 69 manual bellhousing already.

Not sure, but I think they're two different spacers. I know the classic Stang suppliers sell these, like Mustangs Unlimited.
