No because the fox T5 is shorter physiclly(sp?) so everything moves forward. Putting a shorter input shaft into a longer tranny wont work. The bell housing (fox) must be used when you do the switch. BTW the sn95 t5 input shaft is 5/8 longer.must be kinda difficult or everyone would'nt be changing bellhousings and buying the driveshaft spacers, theyd just swap input shafts.

To anybody that's rebuilt a t5, what do you need to do to remove the input shaft? I took my old one apart, but I can't remember how I removed the input shaft.

95Vert said:The tranny I'm usingis off an 89fox. It's a t-5 and everything had to be used off of an 89. To my surprise, my old driveshaft worked fine. The one problem I did see was that the guy whom did the swap had to weld a small plate to the front of the crossmember to bolt the tranny mount to. It is physically shorter than our year but it will work.
