All i can say is wow! All new beast now, feels like a Cylinder Head swap or something. I can launch at 3000 rpm instead of the AOD 1400 the car has so much more get up and go, im hitting the rev limiter so fast, cant wait to go back to the track and see the diff it made. I gotta get used to this thing though. I think a nice tach would help me stay off the rev limiter

Transmission and Bell Housing
Flywheel
Clutch, Pressure Plate, Throwout bearing, Pilot Bearing
Driveshaft
Computer
Transmission Harness from a stick car
Clutch Pedal Box..(plugs that go into it are already there in your dash wiring

It is an easy swap you can have it all done in an afternoon if you are good with cars/tools, and have all the parts.

Except you don't need a computer. The AOD computer will work just fine on a T-5 swap. It's the other way around that you need to change the puter. T-5 to AOD. :nice:

except when you get beat down time and time again from a proper automatic :D

Funny you mention that, never been a successful auto in the class my car is loosely based to run in! Some have tried, in the past 4 or 5 years there hasent been one to do anything good! Ill row my own gears and keep my 25 mpg any day of the week! :D

well the facts remain the same, noone is gonna be as consistent and quick as an auto, maybe they should find someone to build it that knows what they are doing :D

Oh I know that, but there have been many of them built by the best that havent done well...

Also theres something about impressing people with your driving that cant happen in an auto car! I was never given a single compliment with mine when it had the auto, but have been many times with the stick in it!

Autos are the perfect tranny for drag racing, bracket racing, etc... but not for everyone!

I guess, but after blowing up countless t-5's in the late 80's early 90's, theres not many stcks that can handle my small and big blocks. Nothing like leaving on a transbrake:D

for me, it's all about driving enjoyment. Having an automatic literally takes 50% of the fun factor away for me. Something to be said for skill for being able to launch, race, and achieve consistent times with a stick.

i know how u feel lol i did the swap my self last year and the car WOKE UP, its like it was in a coma or something. went from a dead dog to a raging gorilla. i did gears and a new engine swap and lots of stuff and they really helped, but nothing even came CLOSE to the gain of the t5 swap. it was night and day.
