I have recently purchased everything for a T5 swap and have a few hopefully easy questions.
1) Will this pilot bearing work for a 289 with T5? Summit roller pilot It lists as from 1968 -1973 302, but nothing for 289's. I thought it would be interchangeable?
2) Also I was looking at the speedometer driven gears and it seems atleast at summit they are all listed for autos? Even when looking at additional equipment after selecting a T5 transmission. I was under the impression I would need a different gear as the one from my C4 wouldn't mate up? I realize even if it did the speedo would be off.
3) What fluid goes in a T5? Is it the GM syncromesh fluid that goes in the T5?
4) Will an upper boot on the shiffter be enough to keep out noise and or any possible exhaust leaks? Or is there an upper and lower boot I should use for the shiffter?
I am sure I will have some more questions in the near future but these are what I got now before I get started tearing into her.
