T5 swap speedo gear

I'm converting my c6 to a t5 and have already gotten everything ready for the swap was wondering if I need to change the speedometer gear that connects to the transmission? If so what gear do I need? My car has 9 inch non posi rear end, 4.10 gears, a 1986 t5 from a 5.0 mustang, and 275mm wide tires.

You need to change the cable gear to a manual transmission gear. Same tooth count you have now if it's accurate.

I think I got the red gear for my stang. I don't recall where I bought the gear though.

My C4 speedo gears work fine with my T5 (not sure if ratios stay the same but you can just go to NPD etc and get C4 gears). Not sure if that helps but C4 stuff is usually easy to find, so I figured I'd throw it out there.
