T56 or tko600? And is the install as simple as it seems? (Foxbody)

I bought my car with a 3550 then went though it once myself. Then took it to Liberty as there local to me for a rebuild. Case was cracked, had sheared keys along with some other stuff. Bought a brand new face plated TKO600 from Liberty. It's been a great trans so far has a faster first gear and a .64 od.
I love it! Myself I can't imagine sinking 6K in a trans on my car! I did some head scratching when I ordered the TKO600 from Liberty. Single largest purchase on this car by far.

This is the part of the reason I rarely suggest a t56.
6 grand is more than some people pay for the entire car.
I purchased my promotion tko600 for $2000 with promotion shifter, clutch, quadrant, flywheel and everything necessary NIB (pays to have a buddy with a race shop with clients that are always either bailing on a project or going bigger).
And that 2 grand was even a little shocking to the wallet.

Which promotion clutch? And how do you like it?
I'm not sure I don't fully remember.
It was something I think meant for an 03 cobra (no relation to my terminator conversion, I had it before that).
When I switched to a modular engine I sold off the flywheel and Lakewood bellhousing for the proper parts but kept the clutch.
I could have sworn the rating was 700hp. And I know for sure it's yellow.
Doesn't skip a beat on a hard shift.
But the reality is that I don't love it. It's heavy on my leg and it's either engaged or it's not. There is pretty much zero slip.
One of these days i'm going to switch it out for a McLeod dual clutch, but I have to convince myself to spend $800 on something that isn't really broken or find a cheaper alternative, which won't be easy because I find more peace of mind with economizing with the best as of late.

I just got done installing a T56 in my 91 LX today. All in, I'm at $5k spent. My check engine light is on, the car won't pull codes, and it runs like hell. Other than that, it was a really simple install. There were a few issues to deal with (the exhaust hanger was cut off and the cross tube to the smog pump was cut) and I don't think my wiring is correct (the two wire plug and the four wire plug coming out of the floor). The car wouldn't start after install, like the clutch petal wasn't pushed in all the way. I ended up connecting one of the plugs from the floor to the reverse light switch to make them work. On the other plug I butt connected the two wires together to get it to crank and start. But like I said, it ran terrible and smelled like straight gas was dumping out. So I'm on here to try and find a solution to my problem. If you have any questions about a parts list I can help with that.

Must be one of these, from their website. Your feedback is right on point. I have a Spec 3+ that chatters unless I'm really careful. It's not too hard on the leg, but not as comfortable as the twin-disc, not as smooth, and not as high a power rating. I was hoping to hear there was a 700+hp single disc smooth clutch.
