TAB and TAD solenoids

I'm getting a code saying that my TAD is bad, I checked the voltage and everything checks out ok, what I did notice that both solenoids are all cracked. Can you buy these? I went to autozone and they said they can't get them, I know that you can buy a solenoid relay kit from frpp, but I don't need the other stuff so I don't really want to spend the extra money

If people tell you without knowing the year, they are FULL OF IT!

I know, I had a h*** of a time finding them for my '86. Ford lists different TAD and TABs for the 86-93 years. Why? I don't have the slightest idea why.

I ended up ordering them THREE times! ^$#&^*$ The first 2 times I got what I think is the one for the ?91+? stangs. Nice databases - huh?

The third time, I got the correct one. As I remember, it was ~$80. It may or may not be the one I ordered for Rock Auto.

Your best bet is to see if you can get one from a Ford dealer, NAPA, or some local place. And bring your old one to compare!


BTW: From now on, say the YEAR, MODEL (Stang? GT?), ENGINE, and any relevant mods. Otherwise, you deserve the BOGUS information that people may give.
