When I drive my car the tach jumps from 2k rpm to 3k rpm and breaks up and bucks during normal acceleration. It also does it even worst when under full accceleration. I have checked the fuel pressure, changed the fuel filter and looked for arking under the hood. I am very frustrated, does anyone have any ideas.
Thank You

Pulled of the harness off the coil and the contacts were a little corroded. Clean them up and checked the resistance on the primary and secondary on the coil and they were in specs. Test drove the car and the tach did not jump but car broke up but not as bad. Installed the stock fuel pressure regulator and car ran much better and intermittingly broke up at high rpm. I am think that I may have some bad gas and will put some dry gas and fuel injection cleaner in and see what results I get. The car does not break up under normal driving conditions anymore.
