im thinking about getting an autometer 5 inch monster tach but i donth want to put holes in my dash and i dont have a cage or anything to mounth it to. Does anyone have any cool setups that they did? thanx

The UPR tack mount (even if it is a rip off from someone on here) is a good design. It fits behind the radio bezel so if you do remove it there are no holes.

You may be able to find the orig. maker on here, but if not go to UPR. I have one and it is preaty nice. It has some side to side movement but out of the way for the pillar guages I have now. I liked it mounted slightly better for the side to side movement but am happy.

ehhh,

the best on short notice without a digi-cam...preaty crappy our 4yr old neph. has a 4 or 5 mgpxl disney cam and we dont :rlaugh: .

you can make out the placement, sorry for it being not so close/specific but you can see were it ends up sitting. The shift light is going off too

The shift light looks like is attached to your chin.....:rlaugh: ...I like the location.....I have thought about one....I just don't want to drill holes in my interior.....
what are you doing in the pic.....calibrating your speedometer?

J/k........btw...those rims look awesome on your car

The thing I like about the mount is if you remove it you dont see any holes as they are behind the center bezel and coverd up.

IIRC its like one screw and uses one of the existing holes/screws to mount

Actually, the pic is from a program a local shop put on with their new mustang dyno. They called it the "dyno drags" and over winter they loaded up the dyno weighted the cars (if you wished or they used production wieghts for cars) and ran a tree and all with you doing a 1/4 pass. Great thing for the winter and get a leg up on tuning.
