I'm installing a Holley Avenger EFI on my Mustang II, 302 V8 and it says that I need to connect to a tachometer wire. In the diagram shown it shows a wire that goes straight from my distributor to the tachometer but from what I've gathered this should be located on the ignition coil. Any help and with what color wire I need to tap would be greatly appreciated. It's a 1976 if there are differences

Hopefully you were able to get the answer you needed elsewhere. How is the car coming along? All of the Mustang II's that I have heard of converted to EFI have used a factory EFI system.
