I am new to the SN 94-95 cars and just recently purchased a 95Gt. Anyways I am wondering how the plastic bars that loop around the taillight come off because I want to paint them. Does the hole taillight have to come out?

Thanks, Chris

open your trunk... take out the liner that faces into the trunk space (it's held in by these T shaped screw things) once you removes these screws the back piece comes out and the bolts for the taillights are right behind it. Hope that helps - i think there's a total of 3 or 4 bolts per light.

The 94-95 taillights have no bezel... The outer lense is one piece.. Unless you have S351 Bezels.

you have to remove the whole tail light and tape the red lens and spray paint the plastic bars for best results. i used krylon fusion satin black and this is what you have when you finish...

Do you think that the bars painted black on a white car would look good because thats the color of my car. I personally think it will look good because it will break the color up a little.

It would look good... I'm going for the opposite look.. I'm looking for a set of s351 bezels to paint the same color as my car.. Laser red btw...
I wish i still had my 95' vibrant red gt though..

yea i just did this last weekend..there are 5 bolts..i used krylon fusion and the some clearcoat after and it turned out great.. i would say KEEP the taillights white they look sweet as hell on a white car IMO. i think the black would look kind of trashy on a white car

94-95 were one piece and 96-98 when they were the vertical style were removable bezels I think but I could be wrong.

I was able to take all of mine off with my hand. The little rubber thing on it made it slide really easy.

Well everyone I painted them today at the school and I really like them, it makes the whole back of the car look way better. I used 3 coats of gloss black and 3 coats of clear.

If someone could tell me how to put pics on here I would gladly do it. I have a digital camera. I have been wanting to know how to do this for a while now.
