tailpipes= powerloss

I had to put the tailpipes on my 347 for inspection andwhile it sounds real nice it seem to have lost power. I am struggleing with air flow thru the motor and I guess the extra restriction with the tailpipes worsened it. And comments on this subject?

tailpipes shouldnt cause any powerloss feelings, unless they are smaller diameter then the muffler?

i put tailpipes on my car and didnt notice anything.

I agree, if they are the same size as the rest of your exhaust it shouldn't make a noticable difference. I cant stand not running pipes on the street, so much more noise for no reason.

Its not to much louder just a different loud if that makes sense. It even runs smoother and the RPM hangs when I shift. It used to drop suddenly when i shift slow. It now hangs a second before it drops. Thats all I did is put the tailpipes on. weird huh!

I dont see how its not possible, the bend going over the axel is a pretty serious bend.
