talking about strut-rods, my project is on track.(MED PICS)

finally got the box from afco today. i got 2 11" swedged tubes, 2 lh hd steering rod ends, 4 jam nuts. now that i have the rod ends, i can start building the brackets. this shouldn't really take that long.

for those of you who don't know, i broke a strut rod a few months ago and this is my new purpose in life, to make my own strutrods.

My strut rod page

What is the cost going to be compared to buying the ones like that from Global West or one of the other companies that sells them?

it should be around 80 bucks or so if i use ARP fasteners, cheaper if i use regular grade 8. i get a-lot of pieces of scrap metal @ work so i don't need to include that into the cost. i think that would set me back about 3-50 dollars.

That is considerably cheaper than the $300-400 range of aftermarket. Let us know how it works!!!!

http://www.secureperformanceorder.com/afcostore/getsubclasses.cfm?ClassID=107&CategoryID=8

or you can also search for qa-1 rod ends. they offer a kevlar/chromoly type.
